The work hours are brutal too. When I was in we averaged about 13+ hours a day in garrison. Up by 4:30 to get prepped and then get to work (you had to show up early, being less than 30 minutes early meant you were late), usually not let off work until 6. During autumn and the winter we would regularly wake up and go to work when it was dark and then wouldn't get off until it was dark. And again this was while in garrison, not even speaking of deployments when you're literally on duty 24/7/365
All they ask in return is that you be their war slave
The US military exercises far more control over its employees than most employers, and the pay isn't even all that competitive.
The worst pat is you probably won't even be defending America. We invaded Iraq to make the Middle East safe for Israel and Gulf Arab petromonarchs.
Yeah I served 8 years in the DS wars and couldn't agree more. The billion dollar circus.
I respect the importance of possessing a martial spirit and I see the allure of getting to wear a silly hat and blow stuff up
It's too bad we have all these great soldiers and awesome tech and we don't use them to help our own people
Yes, They Lied Us into War
It’s so fucking retarded
Grandfather served for NG
You had Desert Shield and Vietnam invasion
