I actually think the biggest failure was being too compromising or trusting with the system/swamp. He kept the fossils in the Pentagon around until the bitter end. He didn't fight to the bitter end on issues when the House and Senate were (supposedly) on his side.
Obviously, his hands and feet were tied at every juncture; there's only so much you can do in government when you literally have no allies. I just wish he could have put more pressure on; through us if necessary.
Then again, I always have been a fan of "no compromises" and I probably would have done a shitty job in his place because working with these sadistic hell-spawns would drive me nuts.
