EV supporters always talk about how the batteries have heaters that run off "the cord", so no problem in the cold.

EXCEPT WHEN THERE IS NO POWER TO THE GODDAMNED CORD.

My cell phone is 2 years old and doesn't hold a charge for shit compared to when it was new.

Batteries naturally suffer degradation over time. its the Law of Entropy at work.

Plus China controls nearly all EV battery production, either directly, or indirectly as the main source of rare metals needed for the batteries.

The US putting all its eggs in the EV basket is just plain asinine.

With China Joe in charge, it's not a bug, it's a feature!

Hydrogen is the real future. But more $$$ and control in disposable batteries.. you can be nearly off the grid with the home Hydrogen system's Honda has been developing. Can't have that!!

All those rare earth metal mines China owns? Who do you think will gain the most from battery tech?

Hydrogen is inefficient with low energy density. It takes way more power to perform electrolysis and then use hydrogen than to just take the electricity you put into the electrolysis and charge a battery. Literally the only thing you gain is the ability to fill your tank faster if you're traveling long distance.
