I think that is a large part...also just guilt and their conscious making them paranoid.. But I also think they are terrified of the Q-theories that I think they are well aware of and that definitely could have happened, had trump gave the green light.

The people capable of the atrocities that the ruling class is accused of aren't exactly the group I think of embracing guilt or a guiding conscious.
