You know a decision is absolute horseshit when the oldest member of the court doesn't even bother citing legal precedents in his dissent. This is the Supreme Court equivalent of calling the other members idiots.

"moot" or not if the election sparked an alleged "insurrection" wouldn't everyone agree it should be looked into? I mean if all was fine and dandy the results would just be reaffirmed and calm people down

At this point, we can't be sure that 3 judges out of the 4 required to take the case isn't also a game. We've seen nothing but games. We've seen exactly the right number of senators get elected, we've seen the Republicans just miss the votes they need for issues, we've watched Republicans not get around to bills when they were in power. No reason to believe this is any more than a rigged football games in every situation.

What I'm saying is, if these 3 justices can't even try to do something to affect changes, then I don't have any reason to believe them.

The only one with any integrity left on the bench. We are officially a nation in chaos

I disrespectfully dissent, if you're too scared to do your job you never should have accepted it.

Is it OK to say that I love this man? Because I love this man.

I pray he holds on throughout this stolen term.

Thomas looks healthy and clearly has his mind, but so did Scalia and we all know how that turned out.

Translation: "Roberts, you fucking coward, do your fucking job."

As with the FBI, this is a coup and transition away from America to AMarxica or whatever. When you look at it through this lense, people like Roberts are doing their job. Bolton, Wray, Pence, Barr, Kavanaugh, ACB too. All doing their "job".

The Big Lie. There's no words for how hard and deep they all betrayed what this country once stood for. I guess we're all just flummoxed because they're not even hiding it anymore, at all.

They don't need to hide it. The control they have, especially in light of the election coup is amazing. I watched 4 D chess in real time.

I'm glad we still have a few people who will write the occasional snarky letter.

It's really going to get this country back on track.

One day.... One day they will push Thomas too far and he will just lay into them and call out their bullshit so plainly that all conservatives will rejoice, and not a soul who watches the MSM will ever hear about it.

Clarence Thomas is based as hell.

I think it's very interesting that the media screeched breathlessly for 4 yrs that Trump is the most racist president....

....and yet it was the only black man that defended Trump's right to contest a stolen election

"One wonders what this Court waits for," Justice Thomas wrote. "We failed to settle this dispute before the election, and thus provide clear rules. Now we again fail to provide clear rules for future elections.

"The decision to leave election law hidden beneath a shroud of doubt is baffling."

Three conservative Justices Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch sought to hear the cases, while Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the liberal justices in turning then away. Justice Amy Coney Barrett did not take part on cases that preceded her swearing in.

Baffling indeed. Especially from ACB and Kavanaugh

Yet he considers the justices that continue to shit on Americans and our Constitution his good friends. Duck that shit. He also stated as a fact that not enough ballots were affected to alter the outcome of the election. Gtfoh with that bullshit.

Hippopoonis [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, he hasn't stated that.

โ€œThat decision to rewrite the rules seems to have affected too few ballots to change the outcome of any federal electionโ€ -Justice Clarence Thomas

I stand corrected.
