Hayek says collectivist economies inevitably result in a totalitarian government because the central authority cannot have perfect information and invariably misallocate resources. This misallocation creates errors requiring expansion of political power to correct. The cycle repeats, resulting in a totalitarian government.

Since these people seem to believe they have perfect information, it is only a matter of time before they seize control of the economy.
