Has God truly granted wisdom to gender studies PhD holders

or has he purposely trained them wrong, as a joke

They got themselves trained by someone other than God. As a person who has a graduate degree in engineering, meaning that I was once a firm believer in science, I now believe much of what we call science was developed as a challenge to God.

at some point in the future, historians are going to look back at these years and mock these fools even more than we do

Much like how we mock the blood-letters of ancient times.

It is interesting to look into the irrational resistance that Darwinists express towards Intelligent Design.

Not that Intelligent design is biblical or even religious. But it does mean that scientists and academics would once again have to face uncertainty. And with Darwinism they have been very comfortable for a very long time - the certainty of fools - with all of their little "just so" stories.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_So_Stories

Just So Stories for Little Children is a 1902 collection of origin stories by the British author Rudyard Kipling. Considered a classic of children's literature, the book is among Kipling's best known works.

Kipling began working on the book by telling the first three chapters as bedtime stories to his daughter Josephine. These had to be told "just so" (exactly in the words she was used to) or she would complain. The stories illustrate how animals obtained their distinctive features, such as how the leopard got his spots. For the book, Kipling illustrated the stories himself.

The stories have appeared in a variety of adaptations including a musical and animated films. Evolutionary biologists have noted that what Kipling did in fiction in a Lamarckian way,[ they have done in reality, providing Darwinian explanations for the evolutionary development of animal features.

Darwinism has become a religion to some.

Intelligent Design needs to be offered in schools.

I'm sorry, but what is intelligent design?

It's the concept that life did not arise spontaneously. The odds of it happening are so miniscule that many believe it is more logical to assume that some intelligent force guided the process.

Some extend this philosophy beyond life on earth to the very mechanics of the universe itself. They argue that the physics that binds galaxies together and keeps stars burning can't be coincidental.

Christians, like myself, accept this readily. We say God did it. The trouble is when atheists are confronted with the statistical probability, they are forced to admit that everything around them is an aberration. Nature itself is unnatural. Systems tend toward chaos, yet all around us we see well structured systems that have endured since long before recorded history.

I am a Christian as well, but (gonna be honest, more of a Part-Time thing), doesn't believing in anything like that go against the Bible? Or am I wrong?

I thought the Bible specifically says something along the lines of God created all these things just the way they are rn.

I was making a generalized statement regarding intelligent design. I tend toward the Biblical literalism. God created. Discussion over.

There are other schools of thought. Thomas Jefferson was a Deist. Deism calls God the "Great Watchmaker." He built the watch, wound it, and let things go from there. When applied to life, this is called "theistic evolution." It believes that God created the basics of life and may have guided evolution here and there, much the way a pocketwatch needs to be rewound periodically, but was basically hands off.

If you're interested in going full time, check out the Christianity community on .win. We get some good discussions going over there. I could go on and on about this subject, but it might require a dedicated thread.

We are made from an intelligent creator rather than billions of years of genetic accidents

God understands how foolish humans are, and that their wisdom is but a paltry thing compared to his own wisdom. So the things that seem small or unassuming in the eyes of humanity is what God uses to confound the misguided wisdom of humanity.

It's also a good tie in for this passage in Romans. I was going to keep it short but decided to post the passage and let you stop or go on as you choose.

bold emphasis: mine

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness,**covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: **

32 Who knowing the judgment of God,** that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.**

In my opinion the bible is written symbolically, it isnt meant to be taken literally and thats where people are mistaken.

If youre reading the story of adam and eve and believe they were actual people youre misguided, its a story about the nature of humanity. Eve was tempted by the serpent to eat the forbidden fruit = women are drawn to that which is forbidden, adam followed eve and was cast out of the garden of eden as well = women are mens downfall.

There is an invaluable treasure trove of wisdom condensed into the stories of the bible, but you have to stop thinking of it as a literal historical text to see it.
