I am not so sure of that. Just because you militarize and secure the headquarters does not mean you fear. It is more likely just tactical and actually rather preemptive because they know what their plans are that they have worked out and war-gamed over many years. I don't know what the plan details are and there are likely different scenarios they are working with, but likely most of them foresee a need to turn the capitol into a "green zone" against the hostiles in the country around them. They are clearly ready for something that they know will get people to want to get rid of them.
But doing things like a rushed fake impeachment, purity commissions, etc. are not the acts of confident victors. They are the acts of thieves terrified of being caught.
I'm not sure. Don't overestimate things. The Russian Jewish Revolution and the Chinese Jewish Cultural revolution and all the other similar and comparable situations are not records of "thieves terrified of being caught". It seems to me they are quite confidently issuing decrees and orders and making illegitimate law and implementing all kinds of stuff while I am not really getting the sense that things other than further sitting on hands while being strung along with plan trusting and 4D chess and Q and god emperor nonsense are really happening on our side.
