If they hate our whiteness so much, why do so many of them, especially the women, go out of their way to try to look like us? Even Mad Maxine Waters, and Michael Obama wear wigs with straight hair, featuring styles like white women wear.
I've often wondered this. Black women become infuriated at white women wearing braids, as it's (supposedly) cultural appropriation. Yet if we point out that many black women spend a lot of money on weaves and the like, and question why isn't that cultural appropriation? "White isn't a culture." Mkay...
I don't know of many black women who would actually give a shit. It's either all these young privileged girls who try to pretend to be outraged for social media points or the true straight ghetto ones who have literally nothing going for them in life and would kill you just for looking at them wrong.
The average black woman cares not for "cultural appropriation."
The average black woman, much like the average American, is a reasonable person who just wants to prosper and be left alone like all of us. She probably voted for Trump without any of her friends or family knowing, even though most of them wouldn't care.
I don't believe any of my black women friends would care, if the topic ever came up for some reason....which it doesn't. I see it more among the younger set on social media, or celebrities having a hissy fit, neither of which is indicative of how black women in general feel.
Black women also don't like white women being with black men. There were 8 blacks on the O.J. Simpson jury. Six of them were black women. They hated Nicole Brown Simpson because she was white, and had dated O.J. while he was still married to a black woman. I watched that trial, and after it was over, and the jury was being questioned by the media, one of those black female jurors said that Nicole Brown Simpson must have done something bad enough to deserve what happened to her.
This is what I don't understand. I'm white, I have straight boring hair. I used to do model/fashion photography and many of my model friends have gorgeous, curly, lush beautiful hair and it's a nightmare to try and get them to not straighten it and let it go natural! I'm kind of proud that I'm one of the only photographers that have succeeded in getting them to do so, but I'm also really sad about it.
I'm an old white woman now, with all white hair. I was a brunette, with very fine, straight hair. Now I wish I had the amount of hair I had when I was younger. I graduate from high school in 1965, and none of the black girls I went to school with, tried to emulate white women. Over the years, something changed. Nobody asked those black women to start looking like white women. I think Hollywood, TV commercials, and advertisements pushed it, and made many black women feel inferior if they didn't take on that look. It wasn't until several years later that the push to go back to their natural look became popular.
That would explain a lot. I always disconnected/never liked television, movies, or hollywood and never looked that direction for Role Models either (i'm an 80s kid). I think that's why I'm really confused at everything I'm seeing today.
I lived through the air raid drills in the 50's, the Iron Curtain, the Korean War, Vietnam War, and the Berlin Wall being put up, and taken down. I remember clearly, the day Alan Shepard became the first American to go into space. I remember J.F.K.'s assassination, and the aftermath, and I remember Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin landing on the moon. But I never thought I'd live to see my country turned into a third-world Communist shit-hole, and I hope I'm dead before it totally goes down the poop-shoot.
Because no matter what they say publicly, they know what is real. They know that ratty, greasy pube hair isn't attractive. Well, at least not to the overwhelming majority of people. Maybe some retards or peeps with kinks would disagree.

You're right.

And then BLM stole their vote. Thieves.
Yep. Sad but true.

They looked hotter with afros IMO.
