The immortal words of Rorschach. As potent today as when Alan Moore's graphic Novel first appeared.

3
CelesteD 3 points ago +4 / -1

the comics were released as monthly 12 issues first, not an entire novel. I get irritated when people dont remember history right. especially my comics :p

2
strictly1957 2 points ago +2 / -0

I stand corrected, but for me, my introduction was the Graphic Novel and then Zach Snyder's stunning movie adaptation. Did you dig it? you seem to be an authority on the subject of anything Watchmen.

2
CelesteD 2 points ago +3 / -1

I'm not nor do I claim to be an authority on it, I just remember it happening. Thats how old I am. I also remember reading (and buying) the dark knight returns. And yes, the movie is great and is one of the few that actually does justice to the original comic. I was an avid comic collector from the late 70's to the early 90's. At one point I had 3000 of them. Unfortunately many were stolen out of my shed when I drank one night and forgot to lock it up. I still have maybe ... 200? left.

strictly1957 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm super old (64 last Jan!) and just fell in love with the Graphic Novel. I loved how ultra right wing the Rorschach character of the comics/graphic novel is. The scabbed over gutters full of blood rant was elite tier writing as was the death of Comedian which no-one but Rorschach actually gave a fuck about. Alan Moore is a strange cat but Watchmen is the greatest story ever imho. The film was outstanding. The fact that Snyder managed to condense the novel into a movie was a miracle. The fact it was so good is testament to his directorial prowess. Sorry to hear about collection stolen man. Some people deserve testicular cancer for crimes of that nature. Some good old Rorschachian justice needs meting out to the cunt/s that stole them.

CelesteD 1 point ago +1 / -0

I have my suspicions but don't want to spout stuff that might be considered racist. Take that as you will. I personally think it's an artistic crime that nothing of Matt Wagners was ever made into visual media of some kind. If you thought Alan could write .. whew. Also some of Ellisons stuff before he went off the deep end of pro white guilt, then was accused of sexual harassment by some women probably just trying to cancel him. But yes, I completely agree the Watchmen movie was well done. One of the few instances where a comic book made into a movie was. Sadly they are few and far between.

Thanks for those 2 tips... will def research after your recommendation. Don't get me started on MeToo... best not to hehe. All of those narcissistic women turds need a swift kick in the cunt!!!

We are society now. No faggot leftists allowed.

40
Esodo 40 points ago +41 / -1

Except we apparently still have to wear a fucking mask and “socially distance” even after most people are vaccinated. So what use is their vaccine?? Why would anyone get it.

21
UpTrump 21 points ago +21 / -0

Masks are going to remain through 2021 likely through 2022 according to faux-ci

41
Bullet_Tooth_Tony 41 points ago +41 / -0

Masks are going to remain forever. I can promise you that.

26
UpTrump 26 points ago +26 / -0

People always say "we've made it through previous pandemics and returned to normal, and the same will happen this time"

It just feels different now. The people in power love control and won't give it up. Even if 100% of the people are vaccinated, you'll need masks because the vaccines only last 3 months. So say hello to quarterly vaccines and masks the rest of your life

18
Chinese_spy2 18 points ago +18 / -0

With previous pandemics, there was not a disturbing "death count" like seen on CNN.

  • I do not recall H1N1 having its case numbers or deaths constantly on the screen for CNN.
18
vegeta_ban 18 points ago +18 / -0

The Obama administration actively stopped counting because it was a pandemic and deaths wouldn’t stop no matter what they did. Mom was high up in pharmaceutical industry working on H1N1 back then.

4
Chinese_spy2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Retirement? - I only hope that your mother's exit from her high position was for the joys of retirement.

  • Ah, so the H1N1 pandemic was just another scandal from the Obama administration that was hidden by the media: "Mister Perfect," Obama was not.

I never wear a mask and I never will. I’ve only had two places tell me that I can’t come in because of a mask. I told him they were communists, and I didn’t need their products. People are so stupid they’re just gonna wear those masks forever. They’re walking down the street in the middle of the day time with the mask on. They’re driving in their cars with masks on. They’re riding bikes and jogging with masks on. I’m convinced that America has been so dumbed down - that you are absolutely right. The masks may never go away. Even if they do get rid of the mandates, those who have Stockholm syndrome will continue to wear them.

6
Assault-Covfefe 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's EVERYWHERE now, at least for me in Northern VA. Outside, in the car, in parking lots, walking dogs. People are just brainwashed as fuck. Demi-god Faux-Xi could come out tomorrow and say they don't work and there will still be fuckknuckles wearing them in 2030.

4
UpTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

NOVA=NORCAL it seems. EVERYONE outside has their mask. I don't wear it outside and I'm stared at like I'm a walking bio-hazard

3
LadyOfLorien 3 points ago +3 / -0

I love watching people cross the street to get away from my maskless self. As a short mom, this is about the most physically intimidating I'll ever be.

2
HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

I saw an ad where you can now buy "jewelry" to decorate your mask! These freaks love their stupid masks. They sell them at Vineyard Vines and Ralph Lauren...they are like the newest, hottest accessory for SHEEP!

2
HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

They also love using Covid to pass massive bills for "Covid relief" that have little to do with Covid and everything to do with laundering money through foreign countries to give kick backs to our politicians!

7
linereddit 7 points ago +7 / -0

Masks will remain as long as government employee unions control the federal, state, and municipal bureaucracies.

To restrain and reduce bureaucratic power, you need to remove most of the bureaucrats. Unions prevent that remedy, so the cancer persists and grows.

3
HockeyMom4Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

You know when masks will end? When we start encouraging it because Democrats are so ugly we say PLEASE wear masks so we don't have to look at your hideous faces. OR...when we start passing out in stores because we can't breathe due to our face being covered and suffocating ourselves. I told my elderly mother to start falling over in stores and saying she is dizzy, light headed and can't breathe. That she is struggling to breathe. A few of these incidents per day and people will get tired of it. OR...we stop wearing a mask and just say NO MORE!

2
Genericwhitemale 2 points ago +2 / -0

We just have to keep refusing to support mask nazi businesses and watch how quickly they go away.

1
PatriotsVsCommies 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was speaking with my friend who told me she's just going to get the vaccine when it is nationally mandated so life can go back to normal. I tried telling her: Don't you get it? Things will NEVER go back to normal so long as the same government is in power. Masks will continued to be required. If people actually get over the coronavirus, they'll just unleash the next "pandemic" that they've already hinted at. A shortage of people getting the vaccine is not the problem. The GOVERNMENT is the problem.

4
bubadmt 4 points ago +4 / -0

They'll probably want to make the 28th amendment for a mask mandate. Permanently.

Today at the grocery store (I, as most times, was the only one to not wear a mask), get into a conversation with the cashier. Last time she helped me, it was, 'why aren't you wearing a mask, you are supposed to have a mask, it's a law...yada, yada, yada...' I was polite that time and just said that unless you are sick, they are detrimental to your health, breathing oxygen vs. CO2 and whatnot. This time, she asked why I wasn't wearing a mask. I repeated pretty much what I had said before...not sick, like oxygen, etc. She looked around and said, 'I don't like wearing one either.' We then had a little conversation about how arbitrary the rules were, how they didn't really do anything constructive and just made people miserable. It is month 11, and people are finally waking up. At this rate, people will catch on to the election being stolen in January of 2022. By July 2023 people will realize how bad the 'vaccine' is...

16
Chinese_spy2 16 points ago +16 / -0

You are too optimistic.

13
Matrix_Exodus 13 points ago +13 / -0

You are correct. The majority of people will never wake up.

4
Shroudedf8 4 points ago +4 / -0

Today was a first for me. I stopped to get gas in west central florida and an older guy next to me got out of his car to go into the store. He was wearing a full-on gas mask. The big tube was hanging down the front of him swinging back and forth. He looked like a creepy elephant! Now I've seen everything.

2
Matrix_Exodus 2 points ago +2 / -0

I saw a guy in his car wearing a gas mask whilst driving alone. I almost missed my turn I was in such a state of disbelief.

3
Shroudedf8 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lol, or cry out loud more likely. No wonder TPTB think they can get away with all this control. Because they can. Some sheep are so afraid of the shears that they'll run straight to the slaughterhouse with barely a nudge.

4
Pede3 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm surprised that a grocery store clerk would even get into this topic. For minimum wage or a bit over, I wouldn't say shit about someone wearing a mask or not.

People are waking up a little, but only as other things replace the Rona fear. (The ettiquite of mask wearing in China used to be only when the wearer is sick, or to deal with the heavy pollution.)

3
Ben45 3 points ago +3 / -0

that's what surprises me the most. why do they even care? I make shit pay, I'm not going out of my way to harass customers about masks that don't do anything

17
midwestgal 17 points ago +17 / -0

My thoughts exactly 😊

13
RedPilledRaven 13 points ago +13 / -0

Pretty sure there are Biblical prophecies that tell of a time that you can’t join society without a certain mark.

7
IroWide 7 points ago +7 / -0

Indeed. This mask and vaccine stuff is NOT the mark, but I believe that, given the state of world affairs, it is preparation for the real mark. Get the world used to submitting to one absolute rule. It's for this conviction that death is a preferable alternative to me than to wear a mask. I will not compromise, and will take my principles to my grave(which is really just the door I must step through to be brought into the Lord's presence).

If you don't want to be a part of society, and don't participate in its govt, you have no right to be upset when it goes somewhere you don't like.

Spez: I guess we're getting a small sample why this side is losing. People still think they can have their cake and eat it, too.

9
deleted 9 points ago +9 / -0
2
theblackprince 2 points ago +2 / -0

Natural rights took millennia to take hold. Just because they're "natural" doesn't mean they have to be followed, respected, or even understood by men. Part of participation is reminding one another about these rights and the rest of it. Assuming everyone "just gets it" is one of the seeds of collapse.

deleted 5 points ago +5 / -0
4
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's not like getting upset is going to do much other than raise your blood pressure, so this isn't a really compelling argument.

2
anonymousdonor 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sure you do. We are governed by consent.

Pretty basic stuff.

2
Desktop 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not true! You have every right to be upset. And you can engage or not engage as to any extent you want. Government is supposed to answer to all citizens, not just the people that think they participate.
