If you don't want to be a part of society, and don't participate in its govt, you have no right to be upset when it goes somewhere you don't like.

Spez: I guess we're getting a small sample why this side is losing. People still think they can have their cake and eat it, too.

Natural rights took millennia to take hold. Just because they're "natural" doesn't mean they have to be followed, respected, or even understood by men. Part of participation is reminding one another about these rights and the rest of it. Assuming everyone "just gets it" is one of the seeds of collapse.

It's not like getting upset is going to do much other than raise your blood pressure, so this isn't a really compelling argument.

Not true! You have every right to be upset. And you can engage or not engage as to any extent you want. Government is supposed to answer to all citizens, not just the people that think they participate.
