The whole "take back over our country" is NOT something the founding fathers did. Why are we expecting to be able to do it, or that it should be the way we should go about doing things?
Not sure what you mean. The American colonies were deeply divided when they fought the American Revolution. Brooklyn, New York City, is still called Kings County. The neighboring borough is Queens. There were Tories all over.
That goes for the Civil War also. Deep rifts right inside blood families.
