I'm a big fan of making simple syrup from scratch from good quality real ingredients. It's an easy cooking project and I always know exactly what's in it. Just mix with fizzy water and voila, homemade soda. You can also make fancy cocktails with simple syrup or you can pour some on pancakes or ice cream.
