Did Biden prevent them from increasing traditional power generation or not?

Ive seen that reported and believe it until something explains it better. BUT they should have publically shown those orders then ignored them.

Good. Even as a conservative I can see that our energy grid needs an overhaul. This event was unacceptable.

InterloperKO 5 points ago +5 / -0

it was politics, not so much the grid

Our power plants and wind mills literally froze, regardless of politics.

Correction: Wind turbines froze. Coal and gas generate heat. I know if you listen to MSM the wind turbines were humming right along but that is a lie.

Correction? I said the same thing. We had every source in part go offline supposedly. But honestly, I dont think us peasants will ever know what truly happened.

Do you have sources for these claims?

maga_gal 1 point ago +1 / -0

I live here. I didn't save any of the local news I read or saw.

I live here as well. Power plants and wind turbines in my backyard. Literally

That’s a great start. Louie Gohmert was saying the other day that they were supposed to weatherize their plants about ten years ago, and the work had never been performed.

I guess they must have studied at the PG&E school of grid maintenance.

Imma cut and paste my earlier post since I know the Libtards are going to be in here trying to place all the blame on Abbott.

The left has been working the internet hard blaming Abbott and Cruz for all the trouble here, when this all stems from Obama and his EPA going hard at Texas and forcing wind/solar power on us...

At issue are new Federal rules to cut pollution from power plants. Each state would have to come up with a plan that would cut carbon pollution, or greenhouse gases, by an average of 30 percent in less than two decades. Texas, with all its refineries and a lot of coal-burning power plants, is the largest producer of greenhouse gases and is being asked to cut more emissions than other states. Texas has lost most of the cases, including a major ruling earlier this summer by the U.S. Supreme Court. The Court gave the EPA the go-ahead to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. At the PUC hearing, there was testimony that Texas would again file suit over these latest rules.

Abbott fought this shit for years when he was AG, don't let the left come here and blame him and Cruz.

The Attorney General has made no secret of the enjoyment he gets out of filing suits against the administration and the EPA. “What I really do for fun is I go into the office,” Abbott said recently, “[and] I sue the Obama administration.”

https://stateimpact.npr.org/texas/2012/09/27/a-closer-look-at-whether-millions-of-dollars-in-texas-epa-lawsuits-are-a-bargain/

There are things Abbott could have done better, but this shit happened because of Obama's militant EPA.

Are we giving Abbott a pass on not getting in front of this?

I thought I read that he was pushing Big Wind investments.

Thank you. I appreciate the knowledge and am glad I didn't state my opinion as fact.

As my daddy always said, shit runs down hill. He’s happy for them to fall on the sword so he doesn’t have to.
