It's actually making me feel nostalgic for cringe Anakin. He was annoying as Hell, but his character made sense and his social cringe was one of his big flaws that led to his turn.
the prequel trilogy was fucking amazing. only retards hated the prequels. cringe anakin was part of his character. amadala, annakin, and obi wan and all the other characters except jar jar were rock solid and well written and well acted. anakin's cringeworthiness is what made his dark side turn believable. imagine if he was some 'aww shucks' type of boy scout guy like luke skywalker. it just wouldn't be believable. annakin always had so much cringe from episode 1 to 3.
part of what made annakin work as a character was he was never an innocent boy scout and he always had a hint of darkness under his cringe exterior.
