Should they? Is a 7th generation American descended from Germans allowed to celebrate Oktoberfest or make sauerkraut on new year's? What if someone in their family married another American who descended from the British? Are the parts of their lineage they can take pride in limited to a specific root, or can they pick more than one and just give them all a label they share? Heritage is just as immutable as race.
"German pride" or "Irish pride" would still be labeled white supremacy regardless.
I'm talking about cultural heritage, not personal lineage. You can certainly change your culture. Like renouncing allegiance to the monarchy and starting your own country based on republican ideals.
Who does the labeling? Your Enemy. Why are you allowing them to define you?
