Here’s the thing. Take emotion and politics out of it for just a moment. This guy has changed his position virtually every other week. If you employed someone who was a so-called “expert” in their field you would be extremely concerned if their suggestions changed at the drop of a hat.

Fauci is linked to numerous patents on Coronaviruses. He knows exactly what was and is going on with this thing. I don't think he was lying when he mentioned the uselessness of masks, either. He stated this in March of 2020.
He's playing politics with science. The media decided cloth masks would stop the virus and anyone not wearing one was killing grandma, governors hopped on this fear bandwagon too with mandates, and instead of correcting them he just changed health policy instead.
The science on cloth masks was settled in 2019. They work great to prevent droplets in areas like surgery where doctors are highly disciplined not to touch their face and remain sterile, but in no way could they be worn by the general public in day-to-day activities without cross contamination.
He doesn't even claim the science changed on masks. He claims he was trying to prevent a rush on PPE which makes no sense and is actually disgustingly Machiavellian. I had plenty of masks around due to the CA wildfires; that faggot Fauci is telling me he lied about its usefulness to manipulate me away from making purchases I had no intention of making. I know someone who hired a “expert“ consultant for a long-term project Ian multiple times in the course of about six months of the initial planning stages they completely did a 180 on how things should be laid out, completed, etc. They were rightfully fired as it wasn’t just minor tweaks but complete design changes.
