I agree it sucks, but law abiding gun owning citizens all have a target on their backs. Many of them live in jurisdictions where the local DA is absolutely itching to throw them to the wolves. Look at Kyle Rittenhouse or the couple from St. Louis.

Might be barbaric but I do believe in public humiliation and corporal / capital punishment.
