Here are some specific new election security measures we should be demanding:
Absolutely no more mass mailing of ballots or any type of "ballot harvesting." Must be a rock solid chain of custody for any mail in ballots.
Stronger signature match for mail-in ballots or better yet, copy of ID included as well.
Each ballot must be marked with a unique serial number to prevent duplication, using an encrypted number sequence to prevent guessing the serial numbers.
All source code for any election machine used in the state shall be published for public investigation. Any updates must be published at least 6 months prior to any election.
Scan all ballots and publish them online to allow public audits.
Publish precinct level data ("poll tapes") on election night
Stronger criminal penalties for fraud. Mandatory minimum prison sentences. Felony for destruction of subpoenaed evidence. Criminal penalties for anything that has the appearance of fraud or would enable fraud such as ejecting observers, obstructing the view of observers, or counting behind closed doors.

The ballots should be completely anonymous but valid ID should be required in order to cast a ballot. We should eliminate voting by mail in order to be able to validate the ID for each ballot cast.
