And a brief explanation of where the term came from?

Thanks in advance.

From the "Can't Stump The Trump" Videos. From the song by "Knife Party" called "Centipede" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKzsktuqwyU There is more to the story, but I am unsure about the rest. So, brush your golden hair and smile that golden smile. You are a centi-Pede, Pede!

That is out there. I see the connection.

It’s correct. Watch the beginning of Can’t Stump the Trump Volume IV. The song starts by describing a centipedes as a nimble navigator with curved, venomous fangs.

It’s pronounced “peed,” short for centipede

I think that was the intention. Someone else may expound. Something about picking a mascot really out of the box and then wait to be called racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. for choosing it.

My guess is the original Pedes are a generation younger than me (I"m a young GenX). This corner of the internet is cool.

It’s actually ‘pede. The apostrophe denotes the latter part of a word, in this case centipede. If you haven’t heard the track, ‘centipede’ by knife party, I suggest you listen to it at least once.

The younger people who knew of the “song” used it’s heavy nature and preliminary, nature-esque dialogue to dub a few videos of trump decimating his political opponents and called it “can’t stump the trump”. We later adopted the best parts of the documentary rhetoric on centipedes to describe the web users who knew how to find information, “nimble navigators” and the aggressive, vicious ability to dig in and fight, “two curved hallow fangs.”

Excellent explanation and it's a pleasure to be among like-minded critical thinkers.

Centipedes. Sounds like the end of this word.... I think this is where it came from

All those little legs, doing a lot of work, for movement. Nice, huh?

From centipede, from an old series of meme videos that used a song

Find #4 if you can, that is the one that Trump tweeted himself!

I just went with 2 because 1 doesn't have the opening.

It's been a really easy transition for me. There is a very well-thought-out worldview that is shared by many here. I've just come to the same conclusions from a different angle and corner of the internet. So I understand the language here instinctively. It took me maybe a day or two to know I had finally found my internet home.

It's just really fun to learn more about the lore here. I first encountered it when I stumbled upon the story of Kek. I've been fascinated ever since, but never enjoyed being on the Chans.

I'm glad someone asked what this was about because I had no clue... I'm new to this party

IMHO, that term should be forgotten. Patriot? Yes. Something that rhymes with pedo. No.

I disagree. That feels like playing the cult's word purity games. We're adults and can deal with a coincidence like words being similar to words that describe awful things. We're trying to get away from this ideological purity game.
