Because their parents had finally achieved their American Dream and they would have never thought of how much of wussies their offspring would become. Had they known, they would have raised their children harder.

I wish the kids listened to their parents more and not what they see and hear on the MSM, Big Tech, government, Hollywood, etc...
When it comes to Chinese, FOBs are based, ABCs are often woke trash. There were so many FOB Chinese at the January 6th rally in Washington DC. They hate communism. I prayed and sang hymns with a large contingent of them from California, it was beautiful.
It's like they digress with common sense the next generation.
We need to prioritize immigration from communist nations. People who have actually experienced communism are the best defense we have against communism.
What child, especially once they hit puberty, listens to their parents? Teenage rebellion is a thing; the best counter to it is to not shelter them too much. Sometimes you have to learn life's valuable lessons on your own.
I've gotten to play the "I told you so/you were right Mom and Dad" game more than I care to -- and my kids are fairly sensible...but their sensibility has grown with age and especially experience in the real world.
The problem with sending children to be educated by someone else ...
The ones who are 'woke' yeah. Even so, it's way less a problem in that community than in many others.
Lot of Asians understand they are next on the chopping block. Like, white women are the most blind. They think a vagina makes you a honorary dark skinned oppressed person, not idea what they are in for is 'back of the line Karen! Check your priv!'
Asians on the other hand, they tend to see it. Sometimes they play along, but they know mind poison when they see it.
