Find an exchange that trades with real actual crypto. e.g: Binance, Kraken, Coinbase Pro or similar
Make the purchase, bank transfer can take a few days but is typically cheaper than card purchases which is instant.
Transfer your coins to your local wallet
Additionally, if you're unfamiliar with local wallets do some practice first to learn the basics:
Install the software, move some funds to it,
Try send some funds to another wallet
Try installing the wallet software on another device, see that your backup works
Store your backup safely, in multiple places, not just inside your own house
Some wallet software:
Exodus: beginner friendly but high fees
Electrum: lightweight and simple, many features, adjustable fees
Core: If you have plenty of storage space and a device that's often turned on, relatively user friendly after you've gotten used to it, many features, and the most secure choice.
Coinbase requires you to send photo copies of your drivers license and linking your bank account and in some cases takes days to get approved.... oh and they ALSO take commissions on your transactions.... Use TD Ameritrade, Webull or SOFI. I use TD Ameritrade because it has the ThinkorSwim with paper money so you can practice trading with fake money to learn.
imagine if 75 million Trump supporters each owned bitcoin... I don't mean one full BTC... I mean 10 bucks or 100 bucks worth
75 million x $10 = $750 million = MAGA hedge fund
What would scare Democrats and Davos insufferables most? 75 million Trump voters having bitcoin wallets and disrupting the global financial and monetary system
easy way is to get a broker and buy it online.... Dont use robinhood though they can stop you from buying and selling when ever they want.
Important is to also transfer all coins to a local wallet, not your keys, not your coins.

I use coinbase, but watchout for their fees. There are ways to trade yourself without paying coinbase for the transaction. Watch some videos.
Kraken is also another means to purchase bitcoin and many other coins as well. Tis what I use.
