I know a lot of people were thinking Trump should have fired him, but I'm sure Biden would have just hired him back on day one and claimed Trump only fired him because he wanted more people to die.

Of course, Biden fires the Surgeon General as soon as he walks into the White House. They asked for his resignation, but that's just another way of saying they're fired.
