Before inauguration: "You have no standing" After inauguration: "This already happened so we're not going to look at it".

PrezElectHamsandwich 147 points ago +147 / -0

If I ever have to show up in court for a speeding ticket, I’ll use the same defense: “your honor, I am no longer speeding, so this case is moot.”

86
Stefanos 86 points ago +86 / -0

That has legal precedent.

19
PrezElectHamsandwich 19 points ago +19 / -0

Did it work?

47
Stefanos 47 points ago +47 / -0

I dont know, but if something the size of stealing the election in the worlds most powerful nation can be "moot", ....

22
RabidZoo 22 points ago +23 / -1

My guess is after they max out the fine they'll most likely tack a contempt charge on top and you'd spend a few nights in jail to boot.

36
Stefanos 36 points ago +36 / -0

You could try wearing a BLM t-shirt in court.

Dye your hair green (armpits, too) and throw on a pussy hat for the full effect.

I unironically have a leftist costume to wear for if I ever get in trouble with the law.

From the article:

"Our nation is becoming ungovernable, because there is no reason for a thinking person to have any respect for our institutions like the FBI, The Justice Department, or our courts on any level."

If the Supreme Court does not uphold the Law, then the Law is MOOT!!!

War_Hamster 28 points ago +28 / -0

"Your honor, I already reached my destination so how I got there doesn't matter."

10
PrezElectHamsandwich 10 points ago +10 / -0

This is the way.

13
War_Hamster 13 points ago +13 / -0

I should have said, "how I got there is MOOT".

4
PrezElectHamsandwich 4 points ago +4 / -0

You are forgiven, my son.

3
destroyer713 3 points ago +3 / -0

One might even phrase that at "At this point, what difference does it make?"

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

Spot on.

4
mass55th 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just tell the Judge you have no standing in his courtroom.

28
SparrowHawk 28 points ago +30 / -2

But standing doesn't have to do with when the case was filed, does it? Trying to learn here.

73
Stefanos 73 points ago +73 / -0

Correct. Standing is legitimacy to raise the case. so, to rephrase my comment-

Before inauguration: "You have no right to raise this case, because it doesnt affect you"

After inauguration: "This already happened so we're not going to look at it".

70
anotherthing 70 points ago +70 / -0

The argument that it's too late to hear the case when the week before you said it was too early is spurious at best. Thomas nailed it when he said the actions of the court on this only furthers the mistrust of the election system by the citizens.

43
Pepe1776_ 43 points ago +43 / -0

It's clear they cared more for their reputation and appearing "impartial" but really they only appear that way to a minority of voters now. To every one else it makes them seem cowardly or partisan.

28
Necrovoter 28 points ago +30 / -2

SCOTUS is worse than the Broward Crowards who hid during the Parkland school shooting.

15
Stefanos 15 points ago +17 / -2

They are trying to provoke MAGA by telling them they are "down to their last box"

10
Ballind 10 points ago +12 / -2

They're trying to prove maga is too weak to stand up for America. Provocation means they overplayed their hand

5
MagicBeans 5 points ago +5 / -0

Would also explain all the razor wire in DC now. This is all becoming very clear.

2
muricabanana 2 points ago +3 / -1

This is actually retarded. Please shut the fuck up until you grow some more brain cells. I can’t stand when people try to make this statement. It makes zero fucking sense. They’re trying to provoke you? That’s the goal? So if you react and defend yourself and your country you’re “playing into their hands”??? So you’re just supposed to sit back and watch them shit all over you? See how fucking stupid that sounds?

5
Stefanos 5 points ago +6 / -1

Do not get angry WHEN they want you to.

I'm not suggesting anyone tolerates what they are doing, I am just saying dont let them manipulate public anger. They should not be getting whatever they want to elicit from us on demand.

1
MasterOfIllusions 1 point ago +1 / -0

So does that mean "don't do anything because optics," or "don't do anything or they'll use it as an excuse to do the horrible things that they're already doing without any excuse?"

2

As I just saw in a brilliant comment by War_Hamster:

Lawyers can’t be trusted whether sharks in congress or sharks in SCOTUS! Black robes make lawyers WORSE not better!

14
Necrovoter 14 points ago +14 / -0

Roe v Wade set a precedent for "moot" cases where the issue was one of timeliness and something that could be expected to pass before the court could rule on it. These cases should still be heard.

Trump should be calling for an amendment abolishing the Supreme Court as being useless for abandoning their sacred duties. It wouldn't happen, but it would shame both the court and the current people in office, as well as drain public support for them.

9
MobileDev4Trump 9 points ago +9 / -0

FDR destroyed the Supreme Court and Checks and balances a long time ago.

6
yurimodin 6 points ago +6 / -0

FDR destroyed federalism primarily......come one come all suck on the DC gubbamint tit.

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

To be fair, Lincoln did a number on Federalism as well. Not saying the circumstances didn't merit his actions, but the central government took a big step forward during the civil war.

3
UsurperJoe 3 points ago +3 / -0

FDR sucked! We sided with the commies.

3
SparrowHawk 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank you - the no standing argument was peak bullshit. As if Texas isn't impacted by who is president?

5
Coldbyte 5 points ago +5 / -0

Standing = someone who is directly impacted. So an individual is hit by a bus and lives, he has standing, or if he dies; his family. Moot=It’s irrelevant Latches= Literally lazy or too late. As in you waited when you should have sued.

Back too the man hit by the bus, most states have a specified time in which a case has to be brought. 10 years in some cases, so you wait until 15 years and sue, the judge will say latches outside of some extreme circumstances. For instance, minors who have been harmed as a youth have the ability too sue past a timeline.

With these cases they set a precedent- basically fuck off we don’t care, whatever a state court says goes. Basically setup theft for life.

16
Arwyn3x 16 points ago +17 / -1

Did Roberts schedule these hearings after the 'inauguration" so that they could use it as an excuse to deny We The People a hearing? How calculated it that.

I have read excuses for Roberts' actions, saying he hates President Trump, but his actions speak of something worse. He can hate President Trump all he wants, but any reasonable person would think he, above all people, would love the Constitution more.

So here it is: Roberts hates the very idea of America and We The People more, he hates the Constitution and the rule of law. He should have been ripped out of there back when he approved Obamacare.

All that is left now is curiosity, how did he there, who were his mentors in his early life, who recommended him for high office?

-And Justice Scalia's message in a bottle about Citizen Grand Juries:

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia ruled in the landmark case of United States v. Williams, 112 S. Ct. 1735, 504 U.S. 36, 118 L. Ed. 2d 352 (1992), https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/504/36

10
Stefanos 10 points ago +10 / -0

I see it as a provocation by the swamp. They are telling Trump supporters that they are down to their last box, so the Swamp can cry about "muh insurrection" as they introduce the final facets of tyranny.

Right after election, binders full of evidence of harm done: "No evidence (shown in a court room, because we won't let it be shown in a court room). Therefore, no standing."

A bit after election: "You waited too long (laches)"

After "Not-Trump" sworn in: "Well we guess the point is moot now."

I've gotten to the point that this stuff just makes me laugh with glee. I've crossed beyond the black pill, white pill, and to the Deus pill. It's funny(?) because I know that all will reap what they sow in that day.

52
Tellsyouhow 52 points ago +52 / -0

I used to think that but then I remember people like Josef Mengele, who after torturing to death many people including children went on to live a full happy life and have his own family and children. He did drown but only when he was an old man and had lived his life. Or the UKs most prolific pedophile Sir Jimmy Saville died of natural causes as an old man and had even been knighted by the Queen! He was oblivious at the time of death that his pedo past would eventually be uncovered.

Edit: Also Bill Ayres and Susan Rosenberg seem to be doing alright for themselves after bombing the capitol building in the 80s

25
Saxonlady 25 points ago +26 / -1

People on the ground questioned Saville's behaviour. They were either told to shut up because he gave donations or were disregarded and denigrated because they weren't good girls.

FFS, even as a girl I even felt his creepiness through the TV. He was too touchy to the girls, but in an age of 'dirty old men' it was overlooked.

He was a narcissistic sociopath. No one could question his behaviour because he was the BBC cash cow and was a 'Celebrity'. It's repugnant to know his behaviour was allowed to continue because he knew exactly how to court adoration on one hand, and fear in the other.

Little people were silenced and the vulnerable suffered.

7

You know, at one time I used to be surprised by this, now it just gives me more fuel to push my belief that revolution is the only way to fix our country. The problem is, we aren’t ready for the revolution we need to fix it properly.

Bread and Circuses counters hard times, the Romans found that out. Modern man is just too comfortable to ever be truly Strong.

3
LessAndLessIronic 3 points ago +3 / -0

If our only goal is survival then you might be right. We seem to have beaten that game. Food and shelter are solved problems in the first world, at least until oil becomes scarce.

We need a new challenge to harden ourselves against. Humans are not good at perpetual victory. We weren't made for it.

2

1

18
Heavy_Metal_Patriot 18 points ago +19 / -1

revolution is the only way to fix our country.

SECESSION is the only PEACEFUL path forward. You will find people much more open to secede than fight a civil war. If we move quickly, the red states could peacefully secede and restart a new nation upon our founding father's vision.

31
MegoThor 31 points ago +31 / -0

There won’t be a peaceful secession. Just like in the past, the federal government will wage war to maintain control.

7
mty_green_go 7 points ago +7 / -0

Activist judges will not let it happen either..of course their judgements don't apply to other nations

5
LessAndLessIronic 5 points ago +5 / -0

True, but it's easier to organize a defensive war, and that is what civil war started by secession is.

I hate to say it, but we need that war one way or the other. Leaving the union could be our version of provoking a Pearl Harbor -- though hopefully this time we tear down the military industrial complex instead of creating it.

3
BasedNtruth 3 points ago +3 / -0

I agree. No way around war, the federal government sure as hell isnt letting the power they’ve amassed over all 50 states be broken up peacefully. They didn’t in 1861, the sure as fuck won’t in 2021.

10
Thajugglaa 10 points ago +10 / -0

This is part of what I mean when I say we aren't ready. Civil war and revolution are two different types of wars.

2
LessAndLessIronic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Civil wars and revolutions are only different in retrospect, and only depending on who wins.

If the Confederate States were still independent we'd call what happened a revolution. If we'd lost the American Revolution, it would probably be remembered as a British civil war.

3
deleted 3 points ago +3 / -0
2
LessAndLessIronic 2 points ago +2 / -0

If a credible threat of civil war emerges POTATUS will arrange for an over seas war. No way will our military be allowed to be present for an insurrection. Too many dangerous toys and too hard to ensure their loyalty to a specific regime.

Better to send them to play in a sand box and recruit various mercenaries domestically.

3
Basedone 3 points ago +3 / -0

Think you overestimate the power of free thinking on the military. They do what they're told. If they're ordered to slaughter civilians as "terrorists" for "unity" and territorial integrity, you don't think they will?

1
LessAndLessIronic 1 point ago +1 / -0

Some would, some wouldn't.

No risk of them doing either if they are off shooting Syrians instead, which seems like the more likely scenario.

Secede and embargo. They forget where their food comes from. Let's see those commies try to make enough to avoid starvation without the midwest.

1
Heavy_Metal_Patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sounds nice, but reality doesn't work like that. We don't have people with the stomach for a civil war. Right now, the red states are FAR more likely to kneel than they are to fight. That's why we need SECESSION as a strategic retreat. Remember it's NOT just about the election or who has political power. It's about the Right losing the culture war and that means the Left controls the next generation.

4
el-y0y0s 4 points ago +4 / -0

This was the underlying basis Justice Thomas's dissent.

6
LessAndLessIronic 6 points ago +6 / -0

Hopefully when the false reports emerge of Thomas taking his own life we will remember him as a man that willingly gave it. He's one of the few continuing to do his job. There is no way he will escape punishment for that.

As for the rest, I wonder how many of the compromised judges are that way because of threats to themselves vs threats to their families. It would seem that a man with a wife and children is almost as easy to control as a pedophile, given sufficient resources. A mother with children doubly so.

Almost makes you wonder how much the death of Beau Biden is steering the present course of our country.

37
Revelation2010 37 points ago +39 / -2

It's time for the red states to secede. We cannot live with the power hungry democrats of the blue states.

27
BirthHole 27 points ago +27 / -0

This is the answer - Sovereignty. Throw off the DC tyranny and adapt a fiscal MAGA 'new' America.

As the new america financially prospers, other states will want to join.

They have control of the vote count - there is no changing DC now.

10
MagaChief 10 points ago +10 / -0

I’d rather see a red county wave. The state level is also too fucked up and compromised. A local movement of patriots has always been the way!

21
MegoThor 21 points ago +21 / -0

You can’t vote away voter fraud.

1
LessAndLessIronic 1 point ago +2 / -1

I disagree. Do you really think 2016 was a free and fair election? They tried just as much fraud then.

Voter fraud is never perfect. Every legitimate vote they have to counter makes it more expensive.

This goes triple for local elections. The fraud that elected Biden appears to have been concentrated in no more than a handful of counties. This made it possible to flip the presidential election, but it shows that our enemy is not omnipotent. They do not appear have the resources to counter a grassroots red wave in local government.

Our fight starts locally. Nothing wrong with calling out our disadvantages, but the defeatism needs to stop (unless you are advocating skipping all that and jumping straight to revolution and secesion, in which case carry on. That will also work.)

7
spezisacuckold 7 points ago +7 / -0

They 100% did not try as many methods to steal the election back then. Yes there was a lot of fraud in 2016, but nowhere near the levels they committed in 2020. Something inside the left snapped. Trump broke them. So they were hellbent on him not being elected again and even went so far as to shutting down the entire world to get Trump out of office. Optics and livelihoods be damned.

2
spezisacuckold 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fraud vitiates EVERYTHING.

4
AmericaAllDay 4 points ago +4 / -0

Red states, like my home state of Florida, are too dependent on federal funding to secede. DeSantis continues to renew our state of emergency strictly for the federal funding! And under a state of emergency in Florida, you can be force vaccinated and all the corrupt counties use it as an excuse to issue mask mandates.

7
BasedNtruth 7 points ago +7 / -0

A day will come when the bandaid must be pulled off. Allowing the federal government to brainwash your children and subvert your society is not a fair trade off for federal $$$

5
LessAndLessIronic 5 points ago +5 / -0

Dependent on Federal funding.

Bullshit. There is no such thing as federal funding. Every dime of taxes the federal government collects comes from the states, and can be taken with a state that secedes.

The states are only as week as they are because we have allows the federal government to take the lions share of tax revenue from them. Individual states would collectively have exactly as many resources as the national government has, and with no international empire to support they would make better use of those funds.

It's true that some states get more money out than they put in, but the difference is never as large it is made out to be, and the actual benefits to individuals in a state of any given pork project are usually debatable.

1
AmericaAllDay 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm with you, but I know in Florida we are too weak. If DeSantis isn't strong enough to stop renewing the state of emergency, he is weak. South Dakota may be the last state with the strength to secede. North Dakota seems to have a based House. But the majority of states are far too weak to secede and when it's only one or two instead of a confederation, the Union can team up and work against the states that secede.

3
1A2A 3 points ago +3 / -0

Problem with that is we’ll then have Chinese occupied lands right next door.

2
LessAndLessIronic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Secession now. Liberation of our neighbors later.

Plenty of good people will get left behind in the blue states. Some will get out. Presumably others will prefer stay put and build igloos (big ones).

3
1A2A 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Democrats are on a full-blown train ride over a cliff, letting in millions of illegal immigrants, destroying society with massively overturning societal norms, loss of absolute truth, fiscal insanity, purposely destroying small business which leads to vast unemployment, which leads to massive drops in tax revenue, leading to less & less money to put into Democrats pockets. Our country has been seized by inmates of an insane asylum. If we just let them do their thing, America will be irretrievably destroyed.

I suspect that the court itself has no ideological bent or preference for one party or the other. They are going to do what they guy holding a gun to their (or their families') heads tells them to do.

SCOTUS became SCROTUS after Scalia.

I suspect the only real difference between Trump and every other president this century is that, when they sat him down during his first day of office, showed him the Kennedy video and gave him "the talk", he responded defiantly, and he had the personal resources to survive that decision.

Consider the "secret service". We keep all presidents and their immediate families surrounded by an organized group of armed men at all times. For life. "For their protection". Right.

MOOT

That’s how Cuomo responded about the people who died in the nursing homes. He said if they died in the nursing homes or somewhere else, what difference did it make.

Ortega in Nicaragua controls the four powers of the country; the executive, the judicial, the legislative and the electoral, there is no independence between the powers ... or wait here too the demoKKKrats want to do that, they want to control everything and do what they want with the country as Ortega does in Nicaragua.

pity for the USA is going down that path of communist authoritarianism.

Unless we fight to avoid that

Carolina3 1 point ago +1 / -0

What they’ve done to the US proves that they really DO admire Ortega, Che Guevara, Castro for their total control over their countries.

This whole idea that Texas has no standing was ridiculous. The logic is there, I laid out my argument here: https://patriots.win/p/11R4Nq3W3p/huge-alert--the-legal-logic-is-h/

Basically Texas’ rights under the 1st amendment are being violated by a corrupt election system.

I did a deep dive on Kavanaugh (one of the Scotus Traitors) last night, and he is SUCH a Deep State PoS that I'm ASTOUNDED that the libs and Christine Liar Ford did not strew his path with rose petals and let him waltz onto Scotus:

https://fbicover-up.com/justice-brett-kavanaugh.html

He apparently worked to bury the evidence of the first person on the Vince Foster murder scene, Patrick Knowlton, who noticed Foster's car simply wasn't there in Fort Marcy Park, it was bought LATER after his body was relocated to the park in a rust-colored car.

Kavanaugh worked to both REVIVE interest in Knowlton's story and to HUMILIATE him in front of a grand jury, including with homosexual innuendos. It's bizarre. He's a snake.

Bureaucracy, Legislature, and now SCOTUS confirmed corrupt. What is left? We don't have a country. SCOTUS was the last small bit of hope I had. I'm not willing to wait until 2024 to do something. I want to organize, get active, and take our country back. My children's children's future is at stake. If we don't fight now, then when? How much more are we going to take?

1
Carolina3 1 point ago +1 / -0

I agree. They are well organized. They believe in doing things as a collective, and they gather in groups better than we independent patriots do. But we need to do actions as a large group to be able to have effect.

1
FUJIMO_1977 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, they are kicking our asses. You can say whatever you want about them, but they are damn effective in what and how they do their thing.

1
ENVYNITAZ [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

stay armed . . .

2
FUJIMO_1977 2 points ago +2 / -0

Armed is great, but without an organized collective, no one is going to up and band together when it is time. They going to come into individual houses to take your guns and you will give them up because you individually do not want to go-to jail.

1
ENVYNITAZ [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same process has been in operation in Israel for years with an activist judiciary and legal profession engineering it's own legal supremacy over even the elected government. The rule of corrupt judges.

The Supreme Court was our last worldly hope for a resolution to rampant voter fraud. Every single federal department, agency, & branch are corrupt. Not that it would do much, but if millions of Americans wrote to the Supreme Court and told them that they have abandoned Justice and are a corrupt institution, at least it may eat away at their overly elevated egos.

That the Supreme Court would refuse - REFUSE to hear such important cases vital to the survival of America makes them complicit in the destruction of the greatest nation to have ever existed. They are GUILTY as charged. Their judgement day will come some day at the hand of God & the people will rejoice at their destruction. The mill of God grinds slowly, but it grinds exceedingly small.
