Trayvon Martin was one of those curious cases to me because he was shot by a Hispanic guy but people were mad at white people.

Ran across this today where some have put him into presentations to push that all over again.

It's just more of the same, really but when I see Trayvon rehashed with that picture of him seemingly 10 years younger than he was when he died it reminds me that they are not only trying to make this feeling based - they are - in fact distorting reality.

Points from the article:

"The four to six-year-olds in kindergarten will also be asked by their teachers to compare their skin color with an arrangement of crayons, City Journal reported.

...

Older students are asked to atone for their 'white privilege' and to 'use their voices' for the cause of antiracism.

They are taught to study the differences between white European and traditional African systems of justice, in which, according to the curriculum, whites have created a 'retributive,' 'merit-based' justice system, which relies on harsh punishment and creates inequalities. Traditional African systems, on the other hand, relied on a 'restorative,' 'needs-based' justice system focused on healing, giving to each according to his need, and prioritizing 'collective value' over individual rights.

Morrell, according to the site, gave a presentation to teachers in which she explained the reasoning behind the lesson plans, saying: 'That's America's sickness - sickness that we have to deal with.

I'd like to toss something onto the pile of crap stating that Africa has a

"... 'restorative,' 'needs-based' justice system focused on healing..."

instead of the

European

"... 'retributive,' 'merit-based' justice system, which relies on harsh punishment ..."

system because I'm sure they'll never tell the kids about this kicker.

It's a video - the video is of a man being burned ALIVE with a tire around him to help prevent escape. It's not uncommon and it's not pretty. It's vigilante justice and it happens in the streets. There is no "focus on healing" here and NOTHING is restorative so let's squash that right now.

The act is called "necklacing".

Please do not watch this video unless you accept seeing reality. It's not pretty and there are people standing around accepting it.
