Right now all air travellers arriving into Canada are required to pre-book a hotel for 3 days where they will stay while awaiting results of the covid test that those people were in line to get. It matters not that they all had to get a covid test before flying.
At your mandated 3 day hotel, you are confined to your room, and brought 3 boxes of assigned food a day, by people in hazmat suits. And the cost is at least several hundred a day. On par with a 4 or 5 star hotel.
If I'm understanding his video, you might be able to decline all that and just get a $800 fine. I will be returning to Canada soon and may just take the fine and challenge it later in court.
