This surely didn't happen. I live in Hawaii, I know people who went to high school w/him. He was popular and in Hawaii NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE would ever use the word "coon" for a Black person, not part of our culture. In Hawaii, the only racial epithet ever used was this, and it was aimed at Whites: "Fuckin Haole". There used to be something called "Kill Haole Day", I kid you not. It was the last day of school, and the Haole kids got to leave 15 minutes early so as to get a head start on those who would want to take advantage of this day to beat up white kids.
When I grew up the only racism I experienced was against white people from brown people. They are the fucking racists. Also don’t appreciate the world white people (and some others) invented and built for them.
