I have won major points with this argument with my liberal friends. It’s a show stopper jaw dropper mic drop argument. They can talk about the truth. They can talk about their fact check sources with righteousness and piety. Then I tell them it’s the same people that are massively censoring the entire public square of debate. When I ask them, what does history tell us about the truth coming from the side of the debate of those that censor? They’re completely defeated by that and admit it with their whole body!

Your liberal friends must be a lot more rational than the leftists I know. They all think censorship is fine and dandy, and only bad when bad guys do it... and they're the good guys so it's fine.

There's literally no winning against that level of denial.

I got that about the value of fact checking and censorship (of course censorship of only false information) recently. They had to admit that that the censorship we're under is a top down collusion between government, the DNC, and all of the major corporations. I put a government Ministry of Truth label on it. You should have seen them squirm with that label! They couldn't deny it though. There's nothing independent about it. The form of censorship we're under is only missing the label, but in every other way should be labeled a government ministry of truth.

We talked about Covid and science. It's not science if no dissent is allowed. It's not science, it's the ministry of truth. The people I'm talking to are seriously educated engineering and physical science people. They can't argue with that. That's the mic drop. They know the ministry of truth is heavily censoring serious medical debate from the most serious medical people. It's a mic drop, and every fabric of their being knows it. They can't hide it.

Well I'll try using that in future and I'll hope for the best, but I'm willing to bet it still won't reach the leftists I know. They're too ignorant to really appreciate the implications of the 'Ministry of Truth' label, and probably believed Killary's assertion that 1984 was about how we should trust and never question people in authority!
