The elites admire the CCP model and why shouldn't they. The rules don't apply to the wealthy and in their minds wouldn't the country be such a better place where everything is controlled by a cabel of wealthy people. They could eliminate poverty, food shortages, climate issues by using our tax money to save ourselves from ourselves. That's what they think and what they don't say is that they make a ton of money in the process and soldify their control for generations.
Yup, we are controlled by the communist,, for now
This is basically the situation and no, it’s not a “conspiracy theory” it’s a political systems theory. It’s what normally happens over time. And to make things worse, the more the (effectively fascist) “CCP model” seems to “work” the more appealing that gets.
People spend most of their time talking about political idealism, but it makes sense to study political realism or you can’t understand what’s going on when things don’t seem to be matching up with ideals.
Alexander Frazier Tytler doesn’t get too much attention but he should get more attention. https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Alexander_Fraser_Tytler
(He’s saying “substantially a monarchy” but the modern equivalent would be oligarchy.)
A democratic republic, if set up properly, is obviously not pointless or we’d be living in the exact same CCP-like conditions already. But things don’t work in reality exactly the way most people imagine. And they can get worse over time.
Also along the lines of political realism, read Gene Sharp. And no, I have no idea what anyone should do with that I just think people need to learn political science and specifically political realism.
And I hope some people in the federal government who aren’t looking at the big picture enough will start trying to look at the big picture here because the real threat is the CCP and government capture by private oligarchs. I mean people like to bash the “deep state” but I really doubt most of them want to end up working for the CCP or some sort of CCP-equivalent government no matter who they’d usually vote for. The main thing I’m worried about is mid-level career bureaucrats who only know the bureaucratically local issue-of-the-day and don’t see the big picture well enough.
Well said and thanks for the link, you should repost this again and again. Thank you
