DC is built upon the gravy train that lobbyists provide to the politicians. Trump disrupted the gravy train. The RINO's needed cover to get rid of Trump so the gravy train could resume.

You point out that they are following "leftist ideologies". I suggest this is more superficial, as evidenced that fascism is normally wrongly cited as a right wing ideology. You see the contradiction?
My conclusion is they don't care where they are on the ideological spectrum, and are simply tyrants who manipulate their supporters by paying lip service to whatever will further their cause.
