I've already seen plenty of people who literally believe that the MAGA crowd was armed and brandishing guns inside the Capitol. That's in addition to the people who still believe that a police officer was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher, even though that's been thoroughly debunked multiple times, even by the officer's own family.
But then, these are the same people who fully believed that a bunch of MAGA kids in DC surrounded a peaceful native man and began hassling and intimidating him, even though that was a literal 100% inversion of the truth, and uncritically swallowed Smollet's story about white supremacist Trump supporters in downtown Chicago "MAGA country" trying to lynch him at 2AM in the middle of a polar vortex.
That is the problem with mis(dis)information. Once you sow the seed it takes root and it is impossible to clear out the damage that has been done.
