The article doesn't really help. Says he was doing time on a drug charge. No indication that he was some kind of killer. Unless there's something that the article left out, because they didn't want to be called "racists."

If it's true that he was just in for a drug charge then what do you do? Keep every addict locked up just incase they murder someone?

Yea, agreed. I feel like there has to be more than just drugs. Maybe he plea dealed to a lesser charge? I mean do they really give 20years for drugs and probation violation???

Yeah. It sounds ridiculous. Not saying no way it could happen, but I'm guessing the article left some details out.
