I get that they like to vote for them but they are a third party. There are not 102 Senate members but 101 2 per state plus vice president.

The majority status is setup by the "organizing resolution" the senate passes every two years.

McConnell could have filibustered this, but instead he whined for a couple weeks and then rolled over and let the resolution pass by "unanimous consent"

Yep 2 per state and the VP (currently held by the usurper Kuntmala) only votes in the event of a 50/50 split as president of the Senate

The entire senate is democrat as far as I'm concerned.

Woah this is mind blowing. I didn't realize there were 2 independents. Rand and Bernie? I was wrong... Bernie + King. Never heard of King. Probably means he doesn't make waves.

Anyway, seems like Joe Manshin is on our side too and he's a Democrat. We're gonna see a lot of attacks against Joe as I've started seeing those attacks for a few weeks now. Democrat or Republican, I'd rather you be America first and not agree with crazy policies.

Because the R party is a bunch of cuckholds. They’re bigger pussies then what Kameltoe has in her suit pants.

they vote on leadership each congress, technically it doesn't matter at all which party people run as it only matters who they vote for for leadership

So a party with 2 can be the majority?

1
nuhbin 1 point ago +1 / -0

there could be 100 different parties represented and the actual business of government wouldn't be obstructed, they would still vote on rules and leadership and there would just be a lot more public debate

the way it works now is that every important decision is agreed to ahead of time behind closed doors before the new Senate is gaveled in, and as soon as they are in they start adopting the agreed upon paperwork for rules and leadership

the old way would be better, and mostly only serious people would have the stomach for it

I agree totally, how can the Democrats be the majority when they only have 48 Senators?

Because "independents" are usual demonrats. It's a scam. Reality Time - Democrat = democrats, progressives, liberals, libertarians, and independents.

And if we're being for real for reals. There are about 75 demonrats there. Because I guarantee half of those republicans are demonrats in disguise.
