It seems like the Insurrection Hoax would be fine without them needing her to act out her death. Seems like this event was not needed nor is it even brought up by those who perpetrate the narrative of an insurrection. In other words it is not a crucial element to the narrative. The hoax is fine without it. So I am not sure.
The conventional wisdom is that her being "shot" would make the MAGA people go crazy and actually cause real damage and murder, which they didn't do. So when that didn't work they had to make it up the whole insurrection scheme and it fell apart for anyone that isn't a NPC.
Also today they had a funeral for her and she was cremated (of course, no body, no autopsy, no evidence) and her ashes were spread over the ocean. Isn't that just convenient as hell?
