All transactions in Bitcoin are totally transparent, you see the sender, the amount and the recipient(s) for each and every transaction.

Monero encrypts and obfuscates the sender, the amount and the recipient for all transactions. Each account is backed by a view key and a spend key, you can share your view key to make the transactions to/from your account transparent (like bitcoin)
