Really, $10 an hour minimum wage? That proposal is weak as hell! The Dems want to raise it to $15/hr, and that is the only thing I actually agree with them on. None of my employees make less than $17/hr. and as a result, my employees are hard-working and extremely loyal.

No one can survive on the current minimum wage, but the Republican party is the party of "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps." How the hell do they expect Americans to do that when they are working 2 to 3 jobs and still cannot make ends meet?

Make no mistake the GOP has been the main architects of the current system that funnels money to the top and has created the largest income gap in history. The GOP does not care about voters as President Trump did, they only care about their donors.

Trump was a threat to the GOP's corporate handlers, so that is why they never really had his back. The only time the GOP embraced Trump is when they need his endorsement or fundraising abilities.

P.S. The Republicans lie around the min wage increase are all BS! Raising the min wage will not cause millions in job losses. My state just passed the $15/hr min wage and not a single job was lost as a result. The only reason for job loss in my state is COVID-related, so do not believe the GOP BS.

My state's minimum wage is higher than 10. $/hr. In 1998 we voted that anytime the cost of living goes up, the minimum wage does too. That has worked great. It kept the minimum wage earners able to pay their bills and have a little extra cash to feed the state's economy. Tacoma raised their minimum wage above what the rest of the state was paying and it was disastrous for them. It cost jobs, parking fees went up, it blew up in their face. Federal minimum wage is a joke. $7.25?! Raising the federal minimum wage is the only way right to work states like Idaho would pay their workers a living wage.

$7.25 is a joke, but the corporate politicians could care less. People would not need the social safety net if they were making a living wage. If politicians want to rid the system of things like Food Stamps, then it is time for the Federal Gov to step up and force companies to pay workers more.

The bullshit talking point that millions of jobs would be lost is exactly that, bullshit! We live in a mostly service economy so those jobs are not going anywhere, and any manufacture that does decide to close up shop and ship jobs out of the US need to be penalized with huge corporate tax increases. Just because they ship jobs overseas for cheaper labor does not mean they still do not have any US tax liability because their headquarters are still in the US.

If they want to ship their jobs out make them relocate their HQ and leave the country with their company to live in China, Mexico, and any other cheap labor country.
