Tell him you'll be bringing a discrimination lawsuit against the school and start getting other parents to make it a class action lawsuit. This ridiculousness about white privilege is a stupid democratic plan to split the vote -- IT IS NOT LAW! It is NOT okay to discriminate against anyone because of the color of their skin -- ANY skin

the other thing you can do is to demand that the school pays for the cost of moving your child to another school -- you have a Constitutional right to determine where your child is schooled

They DO still fight over it as Dems have been trying to revoke that part of the Constitution through sneeky ways like "Inclusive Classrooms" to take away a parents choice.

Just go to your school's principal and ask point blank -- do you have a RIGHT to move your child to another school. If he/she says no, tell em you're going to ask a lawyer and go to your school board.

I'm not a lawyer so I don't know if there are stipulations in some states so don't take my word -- but do check because I'm pretty certain that I'm right

Yup, damn good idea, also if any of the other moms refuse to have your back on this, they're telling you all you need to know about them, so win-win

I am a former teacher and hold two advanced degrees. I would get my child out of that school immediately. You are only in for a long struggle. Is your child in a public school? Public schools I taught in as of about 10 years ago were the worst I had ever seen.

He is in a public school...for now, i am new to the area i am in and do not know the private school arena here like i know back where i am from. He really wants to have friends and play in sports which is why i havent done home schooling at this point. I know you can do sports with home schooling, i am just not familiar with it.

Your child unfortunately will be sharing his classroom education–if you can call it that– with over 50% illegal alien children. The teacher will water down their lessons for the hispanics. Please, try to get your child into a private school. I have been there I have seen this happening.

Don't know where you live but most places have very active homeschool co-ops that offer a very active social life and sports/cultural activities for the kids.

Rec league sports are 10 times better than school sports anyway. Pull him out of the cess pit.

Most schools are offering Virtual Learning, it could allow you to keep him at home and have more control over what he learns. And then he could join a sport, I would also encourage Cub/Boy Scouts, as long as there is NO Gay Scoutmasters, Pedophilia has been running rampant in the BSA

I went to Public School, and learned this. If you raise hell over EVERYTHING, they'll bend to your will eventually. That's why ANTIFA was so effective

Never had to piss them off, went straight the Principal and told them I would raise hell if this shit didn't stop, Principal told them to knock it off, and they did.

I would have your child read another book such as the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin instead, as a compromise to the school. Make it clear that Michael Bennett is a poor role model for a young adult due to his criminal history.

You should look up Michael Bennet's criminal history because the dude is a real piece of shit.

All voices don't matter. I'm not saying burn his book, but definitely don't promote the book in any way or advance it as academically relevant.

Or have his son tear it apart from a classroom discussion bases and red pill his classmates. See this situation as an opportunity.

Wow I would definitely ask other parents and see if you can stop this. This is racism and I would rather burn the book than read it.

Here is a website I learned of in following the woman resisting the imposition of critical race theory at Smith College, Jodi Shaw. Folllowing this case and Jodi Shaw (as well as Evergreen State incident, I see this is a very much an issue where common ground with liberals can be found. Check this out this resource:

THank you for this

justwow 1 point ago +1 / -0

You bet. Please check out Jodi Shaw's channel and Boyce interview. She is a liberal who has been caught on the edge of the critical race blade. She talks about how at a point she needed to choose between comfort (her job) and freedom. She chose freedom and is fighting because she has kids and sees where this is going. I think she's even been on Tucker Carlson. I am cheered to have common ground -Americans!

If you troll around on some of the Eagles sites, you'll see they considered him an egotistical POS that was a locker room cancer, always pointing the finger at everyone else.

And if you know anything about Philadelphia sportsball, referring to a teammate as self-centered and a locker room cancer is saying something.

Call attention to as many of your child's classmates as you can and tell them this is a filthy, disgusting book, and they should NOT read or study it, and condemn the teacher(s) pushing it, tell your child and their classmates that that teacher is a very bad person, and out to be ashamed of himself/herself.

IOW, treat it the very same way if a teacher showed a class some XXX filthy porn and instructed them to study it. Go ballistic of you have to. Don't worry about the principal for now. Go to all the kids first.

I would send the video of Bennet saying he was racially attacked by cops and then share the video proving he was full of it. Ask them if they support lying and if they support books by people who are on camera lying.

VanishedPants [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Didnt know that happened, i will look that up

Well you can take the combative approach and post excerpts of the book on the schools FB page. You could also ask other parents to share their thoughts/feelings as well. While you may think that doing so will create a lot of hype, that is exactly what is needed. The school does not want any publicity, i can gurantee this. If the schools name is brought into the light regarding this book on their FB page, you may see an immediate reversal.

Photoshop this pic but change the name to "Things that make black people uncomfortable" and demand they recommend it for balance.

The_General_Patton 0 points ago +1 / -1

What they do is ascribe negative value to feeling and thrust them on you because they know you can't argue with feelings. You can only argue with facts.

Blast the teacher and inform the principal that this is racist. Ask if this is approved curriculum by the school board and if they say yes, go to the school board meeting. I don't know your state or area, but in my area a teacher tried to teach BLM and got shut the fuck down by parents going to the school board. If your board is elected you'll have an even greater chance because this is such a polarizing issue. Make waves as uncomfortable as it makes you. Schools want as little conflict as possible, make it known you will bring conflict until this book is out.

Good to hear, i actually sent the principal a message asking this very question about the curriculum

Ask him to cite the standard that this book teaches. For example, in Florida if I was teaching about WWII I could cite this standard:

SS.912.A.6.1 Examine causes, course, and consequences of World War II on the United States and the world.

Now it's obviously quite broad and commie teachers could teach the joys of communism and still technically hit the standard, but your district probably has a pretty clear curriculum guide that narrows it down a bit further. Either way, I'd find it hard to believe that "making white people uncomfortable" is a standard, but we are living in 🤡🌎 so it wouldn't surprise me.

I know you don't want to be doxxed but if you give me the grade, subject and state, I can help you research this and dig into the standards to give you great legal ammo to stop this.
