I see several anecdotal stories of some problems. Are there studies on the overall safeness or effectiveness? Or are there real concerns about it.

I think that's the problem, there are no (long-term) studies on how safe this is. Its too soon to tell. We have no idea the long term effect that this vaccine will have on humans. You can find plenty of studies that will proclaim how "safe and effective" this is, but the fact is that we just don't know yet.
