We need a fence around Cali to keep these fools IN. So many are leaving and housing has doubled in price here because they think they are getting a deal. When the crash comes it will make 2008-2014 look like the good old days.
The fixed income peeps are getting systematically removed for that very reason. Taxes are way up and are as much or more than the mortgages they paid off. They expected to live in these homes until they died, passing them onto family, but are forced to sell because inflation (everything bubble) and move in with the kids.
Multi-generational housing is really starting to take off. 2 kitchens and 4-6 bedrooms to spread the costs. They become a nightmare when they become college boarding rentals and there are 6 cars plus visitors sitting in the streets and partying until 4am. City life sucks. Glad I live in the county.
This is more than a little bit illegal. For one it breaks every anti discrimination law ever written, and secondly it's straight up communism for the government to take a hand in staffing private companies.
