The only way to get rid of Diebold, ES&S, Dominion and all other closed private black box voting systems is to provide a FREE open source solution and end the private voting system market by making it worthless.

I'm positive there is enough technical prowess in the Pede community along with viable and debugged open source to make a viable open source voting system with self-adjudication happen, and happen quickly.

This is the way.

We need no machines. If it is a machine, it can be programmed, hacked, or modified. Open source would allow people to easily exploit it. We need paper ballots only, with hand counts, a verified chain of custody, and automatic audits. If you lose the custody papers for a batch, the whole batch is thrown out.

That's where the blockchain comes in. The only reason Bitcoin has value (1 BTC = 49K btw) is because the blockchain delivers an owner's private ID, a chain of custody with distributed trust that is practically impossible to hack. It delivers an un-hackable way to track when it was done, where it was done, and who did/owns it.

The point is not to be clever. The point is to make it super transparent and easy for everyone to use.
