I complied by wearing my mask on entry and answered all the dumb covid questions. But while doing the little screening, I'm told I'll need to put on "one of these" - Says a nice young lady wearing 2 surgical masks plus a face shield, pointing to her face.
I said I'm wearing a mask, what are you pointing at?
She laughs and says, "oh you thought I meant the faceshield? No no, but you'll have to put on one of these masks on in addition to yours, just when you go to the chair because you'll be close to other people.
So then she sends me to the chair. The guy over there didn't enforce the double-mask rule. I'm halfway done and she walks by and apologized for forgetting to get me the second mask. "I'll go get one" she says and turns around. But then "... oh well now, another person left so we're not as crowded in here, you're good with just that one. "
I said "what a relief. We're safe!" With heavy sarcasm. ... and started writing this, one handed.
I have been giving blood regularly since the KC Hyatt Sky Walk collapse. I am at 68 pints. I have not given a pint since I was forced to wear a mask. If these people are this dump, how do I know if my blood is doing any good to anyone?

In some locations you are denied medical care if you don't wear a mask, even if you have a medical exemption because masks harm you.

On donating blood: I started giving blood when I was in the ARMY when I learned that my type O- was the most needed for emergency life saving situations. You see, O- is the only type that can be given to anyone regardless of the recipient's type. And in many of these emergency situations, blood type is commonly unknown.
Ever since then, I donate when I can. Something my parents and the Bible taught me is, when you give of yourself; give without expecting, without judgements, without any self interest or concern. Let the right hand not know what the left hand is giving. Something like that. Not saying I'm always up to that standard, but nonetheless I try.
Your entire rant amounts to the familiar excuse, "I never give money to homeless people because they'll only spend it on drugs". That might be true, but it is not really going to impress your Creator on judgement day. But let me be clear, I'm NOT judging you for your decision not to give blood.
