I'm saving more due to fewer expenses (bigger houses every x years, new cars every 3 years, home remodels, vacations twice a year)... and when I retire 5k a month looks like a large amount of money... since I do not need to continue paying for those until death.

It’s so amazing when you find a woman who actually holds the same values as you and doesn’t wear a pussy hat or rant about shitty liberal ideology. I just want a nuclear family without the worry of losing half my shit because my wife cheats on me while I am at work, or because of "irreconcilable differences." Divorce is sadly way too common in western society, and while I feel people need to be more careful before entering one, it should also not be so easy to get out of one well, as well as cheered on by the "you go girl!" crowd.
