Is it the exact same oath? When I enlisted, we swore an oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution, NOT the president. We swear to fight against enemies both foreign and domestic. Unlike other countries, we pledge allegiance to principles, not people. Is the Xiden administration changing the wording of the oath so allegiance is due to the president, so true patriots will refuse to take it, thereby marking themselves and providing pretexts to oust them.
