In order to transition from one gender to another, there must BE two genders, since you can't transition unless the genders are discrete (separate) AND distinct from one another. Which means what? That a basic, rigid, standard, foundational definition or demarcation must be in place for each of the two sexes. (The word "sexes" is from a Latinate term signifying "cut into two".) In other words, you cannot identify as ANY sex unless there are standard criteria, qualities, characteristics, or traits which differentiate the sexes. My suggestion? The hip bone is the only one in the human body which is gender specific; if you have the one developed from XX chromosomes, then you're a female, and if you have the one developed from XY chromosomes, then you're a male. A thing must be defined by the most basic, unalterable aspect of it, thus the hip bone should be the defining trait for gender. And since people do not change their hip bones, no such thing as transgenders or transsexuals, only transvestites and mentally ill people with body dysmorphism.
Fixed, thanks. Don't want to be accused of spreading fake news, LOL, especially after MTG put up a sign today outside her congressional office to "Trust the science."
The legislation would end the federal recognition of male-female sex, by rewriting civil rights law to include “sexual orientation and gender identity” as protected classes. If the bill becomes law, it would most likely affect women’s and girls’ sports and privacy in public facilities, and faith-based institutions.
I can see it now; in family court where women win 95% of the time, because the system is designed to fuck men out of house, home, and children.
The new system will flip, men can claim to be trans; the woman will instantly lose most cases where the now trans mother can take his kids away from a terrible person and raise them right; obviously he'll drop the charade once out of the family courts.
Oh boy and the alimony, and child support those poor women are going to have to pay to their trans-ex-wives... Oof.
And the best part is, they've asked for a corrupt and broken system like this for so long. They never wanted equality, they wanted dominance; and thanks to creepy uncle Joe, Women are literally the same as men, legally, and men can become women and disenfranchise "bio-women" as has been done to men for so long...
Congrats on getting what you wanted feminists. A system where men and women are "equal" and where there is no legal difference between the genders. (ergo, men can become women, legally, by saying they are.)
The GOP are a bunch of idiots. Now, along with saying "They'll repeal Roe v Wade" and "White Supremacy" the Democrats can say "They'll strip Trans people of their rights", every freaking election. This has be be fought hard now, or it can't ever be fought again. They are literally just handing the left talking points now. But hey, why represent your constituents when you can virtue signal to your BFF across the aisle?

Only thing you got wrong is that XY is male and XX is female

What about race as a protected class?
This is going to go poorly for women.
But a bonanza for lawyers.
