Depends on how much you really want to do the sports. Do you picture yourself really getting a lot of fun and happiness from playing the sports? Do you really love the sport, and excel in it? If so, I'd say yes.
On the other hand, if your motivation to play sports is there, but not that high, then skip it.
Sports helps you get used to communications skills, leadership skills, and how to be friends, coworkers, and acquaintances with a whole diverse group of people. It is practice to how to get used to a workplace. You don't get that experience by just studying only.
