(mods: if this post is too off-topic, I'll delete. users were OK with it on v/T_D and alot of comments asked to be kept posted)
That post was mine, and here's an update:
The owner of the Radio Shack in Sequim, WA is being charged with assault 4. That's been confirmed by the DA's office
The clerk who initially turned the crazy up to 11isn't getting charged with anything.
I haven't been able to find a lawyer to pursue what should be a slam-dunk civil case. Partly because I don't have possession of the vid or police reports yet, but partly because it's Washington State.
recap for those that missed it:
I was leaving a Radio Shack after a perfectly normal, average, customer/clerk exchange. As I was leaving but before I had exited the store, I took my mask off. No other patrons were in the store and I was several steps away from the register/clerk.
It was like a flip was switched. The clerk started screaming incoherently about masks and killing grandma (not shitting you), followed me out of the store, got in my face, and continued screaming. Then the owner comes out and starts doing the same thing, except he's not wearing a mask.
Yes. The owner of the Radio Shack in Sequim, WA, came out of his store without a mask to yell at me for not wearing a mask.
The owner got himself so worked up, he shoved me off the sidewalk into the drive lane of the parking lot.
I have a record so I didn't do shit except walk away. I did, however, file a police report.
It's a Radio Shack, so there's cameras everywhere. Multiple cameras picked up the entire exchange WITH audio. The responding officer saw the vid and went “WTF?” The officer was fairly certain the owner would get assault 4. I really don't know why the clerk who started the whole thing didn't get charged. Her batshit-cray started it all.
Nothing either the clerk or store owner did had jack shit to do with safety or health or concern for their community. By their own standards, their choice to engage me put everyone involved at further risk. Their tantrum was all about not having the fear behind their virtue-signaling validated.
Crazier yet is how much trouble finding a lawyer for what should be a pretty clear cut civil case against a corporate defendant has been. I've contacted 30+ firms now and made a couple of posts on the sites for finding lawyers. Even though I don't have the vid, the responding officer can confirm what takes place. However, it's Washington State. Everyone is too chickenshit to go against the mask narrative. I get the sense the DA's office has been dragging their feet on this and it's the politics.
Anyway, that's the update. Anyone know a MAGA lawyer not ashamed to be MAGA in WA? Or at least not batshit crazy about masks?
Looking for a lawyer, Give Rudy Guiliani a call. He's not doing much.
