There's NO reason secession could not be peaceful. It's in everyone's best interest for the secession to be peaceful because it exists to avoid a civil war. Remember - a civil war would cause mass destruction to blue states and that threatens their utopia. They won't risk their utopia.
It has the potential to be very peaceful and there's every reason to be peaceful. If the red states stand up and walk away, the blue states won't want a fight. They'll be in a tizzy because they're bullies and bullies crumple when you stand.
