Being raised by my grandparents, I was not prone to spoiling. I was entitled to get up at 4 am and do my farm chores before washing up to head to school. I was entitled to come home from school and do my barn chores before dinner and afterwards my homework.
I was entitled to work the fields in the summer with everyone else, butchering ,canning, readying for winter.
My classmates told of vacations and pool parties that I wasn't invited to. Because you get no days off from a working farm.
Being a baby boomer is nothing to be proud of. They're the second most entitled group after millennials, after all.
