Most violent criminals have one thing in common - they were molested as children. Broken homes and scumbag boyfriends of their mothers, or sleazebags in their neighborhood where they were unsupervised growing up (again thanks to their broken homes).. So when these violent criminals encounter someone who does to children what was done to them, they kill them. It's the closest they can get to retribution for the ruination of their lives.
