Because Portland has a vibe of quiet resignation. The problems here are overwhelming and on top of it all is a weird social structure that people have created that makes it so everyone that would do anything already left and the people still here are merely virtue signalers talking the talk but never walking the walk.
Why would you stay and fix a place where the people secretly want to watch the place burn? And as written in the book of Gabriel, “the people will hate others that are “good” and “Godly”. Fuck that noise. They didn’t have 50 states (mini governments) when they wrote the Bible. I’d rather be in a place where people actually can escape the nonsense
